Diclofenac Potassium, like other NSAIDs, works primarily by inhibiting cyclooxygenase enzymes (COX-1 and COX-2), thereby reducing prostaglandin synthesis. Prostaglandins contribute to pain and inflammation by sensitizing nerve endings and enhancing bradykinin activity. Diclofenac’s therapeutic effects likely stem from lowering prostaglandin levels in peripheral tissues.
